To lead PubNub's engineering and tech ops teams and drive the execution of the company's strategic real-time product roadmap, Bhagat Nainani has joined PubNub as VP of Engineering.  Nainani brings 20 years of experience building world-class software teams and delivering innovative infrastructure technologies that have generated significant revenue.  Prior to joining PubNub, he held multiple technical leadership roles at Oracle Corporation in the database transaction processing and middleware product groups. Nainani has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi; an MS in Computer Science from University of Texas at Austin; and an MBA from Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley.  He also holds multiple patents in database and middleware technologies.

"The demands of modern software products are driving dramatic changes to the software technology stack," said Nainani. "Real-time infrastructure is a key driver in this revolution, and the PubNub Real-Time Network is leading the charge.  I'm very excited to be a part of the team."

PubNub has also added more data centers to its global Real-Time Network and expanded the company headquarters. New data centers in Sao Paolo and Amsterdam are the latest real-time points-of-presence set up to support growing global demand, while delivering lower overall latencies in these regions and increasing the total capacity and redundancy of its global network.  PubNub's headquarters has moved to a new, larger location in San Francisco, two blocks from Moscone Center, with dedicated space for running local community meet-ups and hackathons.

"We're seeing tremendous growth and momentum as real-time continues to become the standard for applications," said PubNub's CEO and co-founder, Todd Greene. "We're thrilled to have Bhagat join our team and help drive growth and innovation."
