San Francisco, CA — February 26, 2015— Industry thought leaders from Gigaom, PubNub, AT&T, Intel, Cisco, and Volvo Corp, are among the impressive list of IoT thought leaders and market makers that are scheduled to participate in the groundbreaking IoT Stream Conference being held at the Historic Bentley Reserve in San Francisco on April 23, 2015.  The hands-on event is the first of its kind to define the IoT technology stack and the interoperability requirements to drive the next generation of IoT.

“Today’s IoT teams must either select proprietary platform players or reinvent security, communication, analytics and more for each project,” said Todd Greene, CEO of PubNub. “The IoT Stream Conf will discuss and solicit opinions about each layer in the IoT stack and the ‘best-of-breed’ products and services that address each of these layers.

Programming for the event will cover deep technical topics for each layer of the IoT stack, including:

  • Moving from Platforms to Stacks
  • Data Stream Network and Connectivity
  • Big Data, Analytics, and Triggers
  • Local Area Device Communication and Connectivity
  • Gateways, Standards, and Ecosystems
  • Connected Devices - Hardware and Chipsets

"For industrial and commercial applications, as well as consumers, IoT is shaping up to be the most impactful and disruptive technology shift ever.  I'm very much looking forward to working with industry leaders at the IoT Stream Conference as we explore the possibilities around, and begin to lay the foundations of the protocols, architectures, and integrations that will drive the space,” said Rich Morrow, Gigaom Analyst

The IoT Stream Conf is designed for IoT technology leaders interested in participating in a collaborative event with the goal of elevating the IoT infrastructure market to a rich ecosystem of interoperable commercial and open source options addressing all layers of the IoT stack.
